If your Smart Lever Mortise is not locking, it may be due to the following:

  • Auto Re-lock is disabled
  • The door sensor on the Mortise and door frame magnet are misaligned
  • Low battery or wrong batteries used
  • Obstruction alarm - 6 sets of 4 short beeps - something is blocking the bolt from locking.

If you have disabled auto Re-lock Mode, you can lock the door by holding on to the '#' key on the Mortise from outside the door, or hold on to the multi-function button from inside the door.
