How do I replace batteries on my Smart Lever Mortise lock?

Slide up the battery cover on the back of the lock and replace all eight batteries. Please ensure they are AA alkaline batteries. Note: Do not use: Non-alkaline, Super Heavy Duty, or rechargeable batteries.
