How to set up your igloohome smart locks with Siri Shortcut


In today's fast-paced, interconnected world, technology has become an integral part of our daily lives, transforming the way we accomplish tasks.


We are excited to introduce you to the seamless integration of Siri Shortcuts with our igloohome smart locks, an innovative solution that redefines the way you interact with your home's locking system.


For this feature to be supported, the user must have the following: 


Minimum iOS version:           iOS 12

Minimum IGH app version:   3.0.0


Say goodbye to the stress of losing keys and check out the step-by-step guide to set up your smart locks with Siri Shortcuts:


Step 1: Ensure you have an igloohome account.

Step 2: Pair your locks to the igloohome account. 

Step 3: In the Igloohome home, select any paired locks

Step 4: Click on the 'Add to Siri' option, located above the `Lock` and `Unlock` buttons


You will then be routed to the Apple Shortcut to enable the feature.


Step 5: Add a name or command.

           Option 1: Voice command

           Option 2: Unlock via phone


Command set and you're done!


Note: Ensure that the main app has to be closed in order for Siri Shortcut to execute the command 



At the same time, this method uses the Bluetooth functionality. As such, users are still required to be of close proximity to the lock to execute this command.

1.  What functions does Siri Shortcuts provide? 


Siri Shortcut on igloohome now provides both lock and unlock functions. 


2. Is SmartSequence™️ supported? 


Bluetooth unlock DOES NOT support SmartSequence™️ function. Only RFID, fingerprint, and PIN support Smart Sequence.


However, you can leverage Siri Shortcuts to set up multiple actions with the same command. This will enable you to sequentially unlock multiple locks. 


Even though the outcome is the same, do note that the response time using Siri shortcuts with multiple actions will be delayed. We would recommend using the SmartSequence™️ feature instead for all supported locks. 


3. Why is my shortcut not working after the command has been set? 

 

Try closing the app in the background and executing the command again.


4. Do I need to turn on my Wi-Fi for the commands to work?


Your iPhone is required to have a Wi-Fi connection in order for Siri Shortcuts commands to work.
