Similarities and differences between iglooconnect on the igloohome mobile app vs the web portal

The iglooconnect on the mobile app is used to link locks to the slots and to generate the Exchange code required to link the lock to the service provider's platform. The web portal cannot do this. However, the web portal can be used to purchase or remove/cancel slots, which the mobile app cannot.

Both of them have some similar features and these features are discussed below:

Overview of slots and locks

This overview summarizes the slots into 3 categories:

  1. Available
    • After purchasing a slot, the slot will be identified as “Available”. This means that the slot is yet to be assigned to any locks.
  2. Pending
    • After adding a lock to a slot, the slot will be identified as “Pending”. This means that the lock is pending integration and is not ready to be used by guests yet.
  3. Active
    • Lock is ready to be used by guests and the lock has completed the integration process with the service provider’s platform.

Individual slot and lock management (igloohome mobile app)

Individual locks can be identified from the tabs below, according to the slot status.  The expired slots would be visible here as well. The locks names, as well as the expiry date can be viewed. The iglooconnect web portal can also be used to find individual locks/slots' status too.
