[Request Instant Access] feature allows guests to request a guest Bluetooth key from the lock owner. This Bluetooth Key is only valid for 5 Minutes and only available for the igloohome Keybox and the igloohome Padlock.

This feature is useful for lock owners who:

Have guests who have installed the igloohome app and registered as a user

Want to provide one-time access to the guest when they arrive at the lock location

Want to prevent PIN sharing by limiting guest access to Bluetooth unlocks

Step 1: Guest requests instant access

Method 1: Home page

Guests who have not paired any locks to their igloohome account can perform the following steps:

1. Tap [Request Instant Access] from the home page
2. Scan the QR code on the lock
3. Wait for a response from the lock owner

Method 2: Configuration page

Guests who have locks paired to their igloohome account can perform the following steps:

1. Tap the menu icon
2. Tap [Configuration]
3. Tap [Request Instant Access]
4. Scan the QR code on the lock
5. Wait for a response from the lock owner

Step 2: Owner approves access

The lock owner will receive a notification on their phone and can choose to accept or reject the instant access request.

If they accept the request, the guest will receive a guest Bluetooth key (valid for 5 minutes) and will be able to unlock the lock.

Step 3: Guest receives guest Bluetooth key

If their access is approved, the guest can perform a Bluetooth unlock on the lock with their igloohome app.
